Evaluation

Question 1) In what ways does your media product use, develop, or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

I forgot to mention in the video that another form and convention which I used were on screen graphics. They can be seen in my video at 3:32. You can see how there is a clear house style within the colours in order to keep the consistency throughout, maintaining my brand establishment.
On screen graphics are often used in TV news programmes in order to shows facts, figures and stats to the audience. Of which are specific to the news story.
My news story was based of a school stabbing, and thats why I included extra information relating to knife crimes.

Question 3) What have you learned from your audience feedback?

As you can see in this pie chart which I created in Microsoft Edexcel, the majority of people who said they watch local TV news daily or frequently were those whom were older.
No 11-14 years olds said that watch TV news daily or frequently at all, and the majority of people who did were that of the age 41-50 years old.
From this information, as stated in the video above, I had to have my actors (bar the voxpots) seem professional and use colloquial language, suitable for the target audience.
I also ensured that the actors looked smart and professional and speak formally to the audience.

In these graphs above, you can see how there is is minimal difference in to how often each gender watch local TV news.
As stated in the video, I knew that I had to ensure that my local TV news programme was gender neutral and not gender specific, in order to appeal to all genders.

Question 4) How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation?
